Reboot Care is Reboot's device coverage program.
It is automatically included at no additional cost with all eligible subscriptions and provides coverage for accidental and unexpected physical damage to your rented device during the subscription period.
Reboot Care is not an insurance policy. It is a device coverage benefit provided directly by Reboot K.K.

Annual Limits
- Minor Incidents: Up to 2 claims within a rolling 12-month period
- Major Incidents: Up to 1 claim within a rolling 12-month period
The rolling 12-month period is determined by looking back 12 months from the date of each incident claim.
Claims exceeding these limits are not covered, and the user is responsible for the full repair or replacement cost.
For Total Loss incidents, the user's liability is limited to the current market value listed in Reboot's published market value table.
Battery Replacement Benefit
Reboot Care includes a free Battery Replacement Benefit that is separate from the incident coverage system.
Eligibility
- Battery health is below 80%
- Battery health is determined using Reboot's internal diagnostic tools

Please note that using the Device Change Option does not reset this limit.
Battery health of 80% or higher is considered normal wear and tear and is not covered under this benefit or any incident tier.
What Is Not Covered?
Examples include:
- Intentional damage
- Fraud or fraudulent claims
- Unauthorized repair, modification, or alteration
- Normal wear and tear
- Loss of the device
- Theft of the device
- Software issues
- Data loss
- Malware
- Damage caused by unauthorized accessories or peripherals
- Damage occurring outside Japan

Reporting an Incident
Incidents must be reported within 14 days of discovery.
Claims submitted more than 14 days after the date the damage or malfunction was first discovered will generally not be accepted.
However, exceptions may apply if the user was unable to report the incident due to unavoidable circumstances, such as natural disasters or hospitalization.
Need Repair or Support?
If your device is damaged or malfunctioning, please submit a request through the Reboot Support Center.
After inspection, Reboot will assess the damage and determine the applicable incident tier and co-pay amount.
