Please complete all of the following steps:
① Remove your Google Account, ② Reset (factory reset) the device, and ③ Remove the SIM card.
① How to Remove Your Google Account
Your Google Account password is required.
Please back up any necessary data in advance.
- From the Home screen, open “Settings”
- Tap “Passwords & accounts”
- Tap “Google”
- Select the Google Account you want to remove
- Tap “Remove account”
- On the confirmation screen, tap “Remove account”
※If you reset the device without removing your Google Account, Factory Reset Protection (FRP) may be activated and lock the device. Please make sure to remove your account in advance.
② How to Factory Reset the Device
Be sure to select “Erase all data (factory reset)” when resetting the device.
- From the Home screen, open “Settings”
- Tap “System”
- Tap “Reset options”
- Tap “Erase all data (factory reset)”
- On the [Erase all data] screen, tap “Erase all data”
- Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the process
③ Removing the SIM Card
- Prepare a SIM eject tool
- Insert the tool into the small hole next to the SIM tray on the side of the device
- Pull out the SIM tray and remove the SIM card
- Reinsert the SIM tray to complete the process
